February 24: Meeting at Luck Bros
We are bringing Sustainable Grandview back together for a February 24th (Weds.) 7 p.m. meeting at Luck Brothers Coffee. It's been a while since we've met but schedules have finally allowed us to spend some more time pursuing this important project.
The first idea that we plan to address arose after several of us met with Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) to discuss information related to fuel conservation (including anti-idling ordinances and policies). The question is whether Sustainable Grandview should support this concept and whether we should approach the City of Grandview Heights to request that they support the idea. Cleveland and a couple suburbs up north have passed anti-idling ordinances and OEC has approached several central Ohio cities to discuss their interests in following suit. Relevant information provided by OEC is attached to this email.
We also hope to discuss where Sustainable Grandview should go from here. I have pasted our mission statement and primary areas of focus below. During previous meetings, we had a variety of potential ideas - and are always open to new ideas. We need to refine a plan for what issues to approach and how best to accomplish goals related to those issues.
